New senior community celebrates with ribbon-cutting ceremony
Wadsworth, OH: After construction and much community anticipation, The Village of St. Edward at Wadsworth celebrated its opening with a VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 5th. Guests were welcomed by President and CEO Jon Stoner and Wadsworth Mayor Robin Laubaugh.
A highlight of the noon ceremony was the introduction of Lellan “Mac” McFarland, the Wadsworth campus’ first resident. Fathers Joe Labak and James Kramer blessed the event while Wadsworth Community Radio provided a live broadcast of the festivities.
Approximately 150 guests enjoyed appetizers and tours of the 106-unit senior living center. They included former Wadsworth mayor and current Village board member Caesar Carrino, Chamber of Commerce board president Michael Reynolds, Chamber executive director Janie Parish, and Medina County commissioners Colleen Swedyk and Jim Hudson.
Also on hand were representatives of the organizations responsible for the facility’s design and construction, including Signet, LLC, Andrews Architects, Mosaic Design and Pride One Construction.
The facility is now open to the public. Tours can be scheduled by calling 234-217-8735 or by visiting vsecommunities.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.
