The Village of St. Edward is pleased to introduce Jacob Schupp as the 2018 Summer Fellow. Schupp, a Finance major at John Carroll University, will work at the Village of St. Edward for 10 weeks. Upon graduation, Schupp plans to work in healthcare administration and hopes that during his time, at the Village, he will gain insight into the knowledge of Senior Care and professional learning. The Village of St. Edward partners with Catholic Community Connection to provide this real world and professional experiences. Established in 2017, this collaborative program provides seven college students a real world paid work experience at a partnering Northeast Ohio Catholic ministry. The competitive fellowship offers positions in the fields of marketing, communications, development, and nonprofit management. This holistic experience prepares students spiritually, mentally and professionally as they make decisions regarding their future vocation and post-graduate work. Qualified candidates are currently enrolled at John Carroll University, Notre Dame College, Ursuline College, and Borromeo Seminary. Jacob Schupp is among five John Carroll students chosen for Catholic Community Connection’s 2018 Summer Fellows Program. John Carroll University is a private, coeducational, Jesuit Catholic university providing programs of study in the liberal arts, sciences, and business at the undergraduate level and in selected areas at the master level. Through the program, students are also partnered with an on-site mentor to provide support and guidance and learn the legacy of the ministry. Through the program, Schupp will be partnered with Sr. Marilyn Ambrosic, as his on-site mentor, where she will show him what the ministry has to offer. The fellows began in early June and will continue into August.
